X-files: Delirium Viewed from Near or Far

This painting represents the poster of the cult movie, X-Files, contaminated by the small extraterrestrial monster from Mars Attacks by Tim Burton; a margin filled with an extravagant 38 miniatures surrounds this main picture. Scully and Mulder blind themselves with their own torches.

The models come from the Internet and are manipulated to various degrees: it is technically a rather complex work. The miniatures are arranged according to a completely associative logic: you can only beat delirium through greater delirium.

While this piece constitutes a single painting, it is more or less a random combination of rather dissimilar pictures. Moreover, the margin takes too much weight. The difference in scale between the principal figures and the miniatures makes it impossible to see the whole work at a glance from a single vantage point. Spectators are invited to adjust their distance, to approach, to retreat.

This diversion of cinematographic images is also a small vanity
