“The Mountain Which Attracts Death”: that is how the natives call K2, but this warning does not prevent climbers to attempt the ascension. Yet it is a very hard summit, and about a quarter of the daredevils lose theirs lives there. Deadly fascination.
The landscape with white silhouettes is painted as a negative. This manipulation transforms the climbers into emaciated ghosts, with less consistency than the shapes which vaguely remind of a skull in the side of K2, which are accentuated.
The negative of the painting is very similar to the original positive.
